About Us | Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors consists of seven members, led by Mr. Lev Leviev, who was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors as of 1 January 2008.

Mr. Lev Leviev, Chairman of the Board
Born in Ouzbekistan in 1956. Mr. Leviev serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Africa Israel Investments Ltd. and of AFI Development Plc. He is also the owner and the President of the LLD Diamonds Ltd Group and President of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Russia and CIS.

Mr. Alexander Khaldey
Mr. Khaldey is a director and serves as Chief Executive Officer. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of Stroyinkom-K since March 2001. He co-founded AFI Development Plc and owns a 10 per cent stake in the company through Nirro Group S.A. Mr. Khaldey has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry. Mr. Khaldey graduated from Dneprepetrovsk Metallurgical Insitute in 1973, with a degree in Industrial Heat Power Engeneering.

 

Mr. Avraham Barzilay
Mr. Barzilay is a director and serves as Chief Financial Officer. He also serves as Vice-President for Russia & CIS of Africa Israel Ltd and as CFO of Africa Israel Properties Ltd since October 2004. He has over 14 years of experience in the real estate industry, including as Chief Financial Officer of Red Sea Construction Ltd. Mr. Barzily studied economics and accounting at the Bar-Ilan University, Israel, qualifying as a CPA.

Mr. Izzy Cohen
Mr. Cohen is a  director since 27 August 2008 and the CEO of Africa Israel Investments since 15 June 2008. Prior to his appointment at Africa Israel Investments Ltd, Mr. Cohen was CEO of Migdal Insurance and Financial Holdings Ltd for ten years. He also worked as Head of Generali Group Innovation Lab. Mr. Cohen holds a BA in Statistics and Computer Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

 

Mr. Nadav Grinshon
Mr. Grinshpon is a director and serves and Head of the Nomination Committee. He is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Africa Israel Investments Ltd., and serves as chairman of the Board and Director in companies of the Africa Israel Group. He serves as the CEO of Memorial Management Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Leviev Group of Companies. Mr. Grinshom is a graduate of the College of Management, Israel, in business and accounting qualitfying as a CPA.

Mr. Christakis Klerides
Mr. Klerides is an independent director and serves as Head of the Audit Committee. Mr. Klerides was the Minister of Finance of Cyprus in March 1999-February 2003 and curerntly provides finance and business consultancy services through his family-owned company, CMK Eurofinance Consultants Limited. Mr. Klerides is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.

Mr. Moshe Amit
Mr. Amit is an independent director and serves as Head of Remuneration Committee He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delek - the Israel Fuel Corporation Ltd and also holds board memberships in a number of companies including Blue Square Chain Properties & Investments Ltd. Mr. Amit holds a banking diploma from the Israeli Banking Institute and a Bachelors degree in political science and sociology from Bar-Ilan University, Israel.

 

Mr. John Porter
Mr. Porter is an independent director. He is the Chairman of Telos Group. He also serves on the Board of Directors of several listed companies, including Grand Vision SA (Paris) (sold end 2004 to HAL Trust) and Algol SpA (Milan) and served as Chairman of Verifone (sold to HP Corp.). Mr. Porter is a majority shareholder of Global Supply Systems in UK. He is a graduate of Oxford University, Paris University and Stanford University. He has served on the Advisory Council, Graduate School of Business, Stanford, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Said Business School, Oxford University.
